This week

We have finished assessing the 1-2 graders using district criteria. This year we were also assessing math skills. Some of the students really liked the process, and some of them were just glad when it was over. I was in the latter group!? By the time you receive this, we will have finished our US presidents research presentations.I appreciate the help many of you provided to your children so the presentations were informative and well rehearsed. I learned many new things.

Next week and beyond

There are still several students who do NOT have their SkateWorld permission slips and entrance fees in to me. ?Please know that without these your child will not be able to attend the event with us. I have included the slip in the body of this email. Please take care of this ASAP! Students and staff from the Dunn campus will be joining us for lunch in the field (at Willard) on Tuesday, 6/15 at 12:15pm. 8th grade graduation will be in the cafeteria from 1:30-2:30pm.

Hello parents, On the last day of school (Wednesday, June 16th) our classroom has the opportunity to go to Skate World for the last two hours of the school year. We will have the rink to ourselves from 1-3 pm and it should be a memorable experience. We invite parents, grandparents, and younger siblings to come along if they like. The cost for each student to participate is $3.50. Parents and other grown-ups are free as the rink assumes you are there to help chaperone the younger students. Siblings will be asked to pay the $ 3.50 entrance fee, and I prefer you just pay for them (siblings) at the rink when you arrive.? We will have already had lunch, but the concession stand at the rink will be open for those who would like to purchase something extra. In-line skates are an additional $3.00 to rent, otherwise traditional skates are included in the entrance fee. If the regular entrance fee is a hardship it will be necessary that you contact the school office for assistance. We will be using LTD to travel to and from Skate World.? We will be returning to the school at 4:15, unless you opt to pick up your child at Skate World at 3pm. If you plan to attend with us please plan on driving yourself (and siblings if applicable) to the rink, as the bus can only accommodate our group of kids and a few chaperones. In signing this you are acknowledging that we will be returning to the school at 4:15 (approximately). My student _______________________ has permission to attend the fieldtrip as described in this form. _______ I plan to pick my child up at 3:00 p.m. at Skate World on Wednesday, June 16. _______ My child will return to the Willard campus via LTD and I will pick him/her up at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16 at Willard. Parent signature I have included $3.50 for the entrance fee. If other siblings are coming you acknowledge they must pay the entrance fee at the rink. I have added $3.00 to the usual entrance fee to rent in-line skates, rather than traditional skates. I can barely walk how can I be expected to skate Boy, there sure are a lot of bullet points! I sure hope this is the last one
